THE LONERGAN HOME

"Nikki helped us with everything.
When less brave about things, she urged trust - the results are fabulous!"

Stylemaker and Lonergans collaborate again.

We're fast becoming old friends.  To date, we've refurbished the Waiheke Beach House and prepped the former family home for a sale.  But to say we're a little proud of this latest project is selling it drastically short.  This truly is the glitter ball piece in our portfolio, and we can't thank Alex and Gavin enough for trusting in our process, and bringing their adventurous spirit to the party.

Ending a two year search for their forever home, the Lonergans wished to make their fantastic St Heliers abode just that little bit extra special.

Masquerading as an unremarkable home, requiring love and light, we knew an injection of the Hamptons would bring a beautiful coastal energy to its large bones. Meanwhile, expansive views towards the Sky Tower and Rangitoto were absolute yay features. And keeping the integrity of its wonderful character (think rimu windows and floors) was at Nikki's insistence, and oh-my how it works.

Signature new pieces were introduced to help showcase the love of coastal living for this young family of four.  They decided which furniture to keep, including antique piano stools (perfectly reupholstered), while we set about sourcing new items to highlight their location.

Recognising that nature never dates, we drew inspiration from the outdoors to share their story.  The narrative includes a dreamy infusion of linens, restful hues, white timber shutters, resurfaced timber floors, and a penchant for deep navy.

The paint is never dry with the Lonergans, and we can't wait to move onto stage II - an outdoor room, landscaping, and a loft-style guest quarter above the garage.
